Creative Writing Class Information:
Creative writing classes are available for students and adults in the Central Valley of California, including Reedley, Dinuba, Selma, Kingsburg, Squaw Valley, Fresno and Visalia. For long-distance students, a central meeting location can be arranged. Summer also offers an online masterclass through Voyage Academics. Visit the Masterclass page of this website to learn more about that.
Creative writing and grammar tutoring focuses on teaching the student the methods of storytelling, structure, plot, dialogue and flow. The student is also taught the basics of grammar and English, and how it applies to both creative and academic writing. Often, younger students are also assigned books to read: reading creates a better writer, after all.
Writing class sessions are between 45 minutes to 1 hour in length. Homework is assigned every week. Classes begin at the start of the traditional academic semester and conclude the second week of May. Tutoring services are not offered over the summer.
